Well, the date has been changed

Hi Gang,

Good news! The date for the missions banquet that was supposed to be tonight in Savannah, TN has been changed. It will now be on May the 20th, that gives each and every one of us that much more opportunity to pray over this important event...and many thanks for the prayers that continue to impact our lives and our ministry!

Casa de Servicio (www.casadeservicio.org) is making great strides in it's efforts to increase funding directed towards the purchase of the necessary equipment to do the bulk of the work in the La Moskitia region on Central America. If anyone knows of a Maule M-7-235B Super Rocket, or similar aircraft that is available for sale and in EXCELLENT condition...please contact us immediately! This particular aircraft is ideally suited for the mission work we will put it to in Nicaragua. We have received word from the Maule Aircraft Company (http://www.mauleairinc.com/) that Casa de Servicio will receive a donation of $30,000.00 toward the purchase of a brand new aircraft. We are grateful for this donation, but do not want to overlook the possibility that there may well be a good serviceable aircraft which may be purchased for less than the price of a new one. So, anyone that knows of a suitable aircraft, please contact us right away so we can arrange the purchase! Please, please, please...keep this important aspect of our fund-raising drive in your hearts, and minds, and prayers.

Well, it's "exciting time" again!

Hi gang!

Over the last few years, the Lord has blessed Casa de Servicio greatly...by allowing us to pursue His work in Central America! Just lately, in the last few months it seems that the Lord has turned his face FULL towards our ministry. I am very excited to pass along the news that Casa de Servicio (http://www.casadeservicio.org) has been invited to a missions banquet in Savannah, TN this Saturday evening! Please keep Carolyn and I in your thoughts and prayers as we attend this banquet and the following Sunday morning as we are invited to a local Savannah church to share Casa de Servicio's mission with fellow Church of God members!

I really can not describe for each of you how exciting it is to have this opportunity! I am getting older all the time, but each and every moment that I receive new news of Casa de Servicio's (http://www.casadeservicio.org) inroads against the poverty and hunger and medical necessity in Central America it is all I can do to not squirm like a little puppy dog in awe of my Master's benevolence and grace! I am sure that most of YOU have felt this same feeling...the feeling that makes a person wish for the talent to write songs, or paint pictures. Unfortunately I do not have those talents, and so can only inadequately express our love of God, and what His presence in our ministry means to us, personally. Fortunately there are ALREADY songs out there that come close enough to the feelings engendered by our service to our Lord...our God, what an AWESOME God, is He......one of my favorites!

Please remember to keep our ministry in prayer as we go west to Savannah, TN this Saturday afternoon, and on Sunday too!

When He saw what had to be done
He sent His one and only son
Our God is and awesome God
He was sent from up above
To tell us of His undying love
Our God is an awesome God
When His blood shed that day
He took and washed our sins away
Our God is and awesome God
Greater is He that is in me
Than he that is in the world
Our God is an awesome God
Our God is an awesome God
He reigns from heaven above with wisdom
And power and love our God is an awesome God

I want to personally thank the Pastors who have chosen to participate in the newest branch of the Church of God's World Missions department! The Casa de Servicio (House of Service) Emergency AVIATION Evacuation project is UNDERWAY! It is a very exciting and NEW addition to the arsenal of weapons the Church of God utilitzes to fight the adversary! Please contact Richard and Carolyn Becton at flight@flash.net (Casa de Servicio, Inc. 308 Waterville Drive, Cleveland, TN 37323) to encourage the growth of this new and exciting missions field. Richard and Carolyn are leaving for Nicaragua (La Moskitia) as soon as the necessary support has been raised.

Any Pastors, or interested parties who wish to invite the Bectons to speak at their Church or group may reach them at the above address, and we encourage you to do so. Thank you, and God bless YOU!

Those of you that are new to this "BLOG", and do not wish to participate in this sanctified mission by receiving semi-regular news may ask to be removed from their email, mailing list. Simply respond to this email and ask to be removed.

Hi Gang,

Casa de Servicio was blessed with the opportunity this weekend to widen it's circle of friends and supporters! Through God's glorious grace, and the help of Charles Lambert, and Rick Waldrop, Casa de Servicio was invited to attend a Missions Banquet at the Dayton Church of God, in Dayton, TN. Last Saturday evening we went and fellowshipped with like-minded Christians and briefly outlined what it is that Casa de Servicio does. We had the chance to share with others our mission towards Emergency Medical Evacuation in Nicaragua and the bringing of Christ's Word to impoverished areas. It was a wonderful time of fellowship, and Brother Mike Justice (the Pastor of the Dayton Church of God) did an outstanding job of introducing all of the missionaries that were present. We had some good ole' fashioned home-cookin' while we were there and enjoyed the fellowship of many, many fellow believers. It was a wonderful time!

An outgrowth of this special occasion was that Casa de Servicio received an invitation to speak, and share our mission with the Graysville Church of God the following Sunday morning. What a blessing THAT was. Some of the people that are on the list to receive this "blog" may not understand the impact of hearing a truly annointed Church of God preacher speak about missions...but if you haven't heard it...Good Lord, hurry down the the nearest Church of God and experience it! Pastor Jimmy Talley "brought the house down" with his truly annointed message. It was a simply awesome experience. I was assured by the 200 or so people in attendance that this is a "normal" occurance at the Graysville Church of God. Nothing "normal" about it to me...it was an exceptionally spiritual service and a true, true blessing for Carolyn and I to be there! Pastor Talley's wife Renee...I can't say enough about that little fireball! Sister Talley's talent for singing, and obviously annointed choice of songs really set the tone for a good old-fashioned Spirit renewing service! As they say in show business...Sister Talley "has chops"...(that is about the highest compliment the secular world has to offer when it comes to singing talent, and Sister Talley WELL deserves it). Sister Talley, and the rest of the choir are SO, SO, annointed...I know I am repeating myself...but it TRULY was an exceptional blessing to be a part of it!

Carolyn and I were blessed to be able to share our mission with the congregation from Pastor Talley's pulpit. It was well received and the Graysville Church of God chose to bless our mission financially. We also had the opportunity to meet several ardent missions supporters, we are grateful to each and every one of them. We look forward to our next meeting with Tony and Sue (Tony is a fellow Pilot, and his wife Sue is going "gung-ho" to help the mission out). A special thanks to them!

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE BROTHERS AND SISTERS AT THE CHURCH OF GOD, WORLD MISSIONS OFFICES THAT HELPED TO ARRANGE THIS SPIRITUALLY "FILLING" TIME FOR CAROLYN, CASA DE SERVICIO, AND I.

THANK YOU!

VERY exciting NEWS!

Hi folks!

Great news from Nicaragua! Through the participation of Brother Calmore Tathum in Puerto Cabezas...the Nicaraguan navy has offered to build Casa de Servico a hangar for it's aircraft at no expense to our organization! What a super BLESSING this is. We look forward excitedly to continue the reports of progress on this project. I couldn't resist sending off this brief note to let everyone know.

Special opportunity for Casa de Servicio

Hi Everyone,

I just want to write a quick note to let everyone know that Casa de Servicio has been invited to go to Dayton, TN on March the 11th, to share our organizational mission with the Church of God. We will have the opportunity to spread the word about our organizations mission, and the audience is supposedly VERY receptive to missionaries...keep us in prayer during this very exciting and special time period. Charles Lambert, and Rick Waldrop have arranged this forum for us to present our organization, and we plan on making the MOST of it. God Bless!
