Itinerary update

Just to let you know. Our TENTATIVE intinerary for the next few months is as follows:

We plan to have the house up for sale by the end of March, and prayerfully SOLD by the end of April. We will move into the donated Avion Travel trailer by the end of April. Carolyn and I will spend approximately the next two months making our way south in the travel trailer towards Miami.

We will stop along the way to touch base with friends, family and supporters. Upon arrival into Miami, we will spend some time making sure that our truck (we really need a new one) and the travel trailer are prepared for the voyage to Puerto Cabezas.

We will then jump into the Piper PA23-250 (Aztec), and fly it to Managua, and then to Puerto Cabezas, the city in Nicaragua where we will live.

Our ministry continues "in-country" at that point...

Please check out the links below to see the full story on our ministry efforts and goals.

A really HUGE blessing for our ministry efforts

Carolyn and I were surprised yesterday with a HUGE blessing for our ministry efforts in Nicaragua.

A South Carolina man and his wife donated a 32' Avion travel trailer to our ministry!

The travel trailer will be shipped to Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua and will house Carolyn and I while we are in the building process in Puerto Cabezas. I would LOVE to publicly thank the good Dr. and his wife by name...but the internet being what it is...I don't want to have them bombarded with "requests" for assistance because of their unselfishness, and Spirituality.

Our DEEPEST thanks and most fervent prayer are in their lives of course!

May God richly and deeply bless them forever!

PS: Don't worry, they aren't active on the internet, and so won't be embarrassed by our effusive thanks!

Cooper City Church of God Missions Conference

WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW!

The was the first trip for us to the Cooper City, Church of God's missions conference.

Six FULL days of activities, instruction and sharing of information concerning missions, and the cutting edge needs and problems associated with missionary endeavors. What a WONDERFUL blessing it was to meet the entire missions committee at the Cooper City Church of God. Commanded gently and skillfully by Pastor Dwight Allen.

One of the benefits Carolyn and I derived from this conference was the extremely enjoyable meeting of the OTHER 75 missionaries in attendance. We began to renew our acquaintance with some missionaries we had not seen in over 12 years (Denise and Michael Mills). They are STILL as energetic and fascinating as ever! We met many, many other missionairies also. From all over the GLOBE! I could name the 20 or so that really had a personal impact on Carolyn and I through their stories, but I don't want to leave anyone out. Just please know... we were absolutely enthralled with each and every heartfelt mission that we heard about.

The staff and congregation of the Cooper City Church of God were gracious and raised the hosting of missions conferences to an art form! You must KNOW that preparing for six full days of conference...feeding and housing ALL of the participant involved, and seeing to each missions "special needs" must have consumed weeks, and months of time. The staff at Cooper City NEVER ONCE showed anything other than a smile. I believe that Cooper City is one of the most missions oriented churches I have ever had the blessing, and pleasure, to be involved with! Notable OTHER churches with missions minded staff and pastors include the Grace Convenant Church of God in New Ellenton, SC, and the Dayton Church of God in Dayton, TN.

Wow! Great job Pastor Allen, Sister Bonnie Allen, and staff!

I forgot to ask

I forgot to ask. Are YOU going to the missions conference and banquet at the Cooper City church of God? http://cccofgod.org/

And is so, when are you getting there?

And so, off we go.

As we make our preparations to journey to Cooper City, Florida...we beg your prayers. Carolyn and I are VERY EXCITED about meeting the folks down in Cooper City, and we are heartily praying for their support and encouragement. We ask that you join us in those prayers.

Take a second, out of your day, and say a prayer for the Miskito Indian people that may be affected by God's word.
